Emergency lighting systems provide necessary illumination for facility occupants to access safe passage from a structure when standard lighting fails. Battery-supported emergency lighting illuminates the quickest and safest route to exit a building during a power failure. Building codes require that stairways, corridors, and egress points be lit in the event of a power failure.
The HZZ Class 1 Div 2 Emergency Light is NEMA 4X and IP66 rated to withstand abuse in institutions, schools, apartment complexes, and other public areas where vandalism may occur. The fully gasketed, die-cast aluminum housing features an impact-resistant polycarbonate lens, conduit fitting approved for hazardous environments, and fully adjustable MR16 lamps with LED options. The HZZ emergency light provides up to 70.0” on-center illumination and is UL listed for 90 minutes of run-time. A low voltage cut-off prevents damage to the maintenance-free Ni-Cad battery and ensures a positive charge acceptance following an extended discharge.
