Product Details
Emergency lighting systems provide necessary illumination for facility occupants to access safe passage from a structure when standard lighting fails. Battery-supported emergency lighting illuminates the quickest and safest route to exit a building during a power failure. Building codes require that stairways, corridors, and egress points be lit in the event of a power failure.
The CHL Chicago Approved Steel 12-60 Watt Emergency Light features a 20 gauge steel cabinet with two fully adjustable, top-mounted metal heads. A unique locking twist collar securely holds the lens for quick and easy re-lamping. The maintenance-free, sealed lead calcium or Ni-Cad battery provides 90 minutes of emergency lighting and can power multiple remote heads. A low voltage cut-off prevents battery damage and ensures a positive charge acceptance following an extended discharge, and brownout detection ensures emergency operation during periods of low line voltage. The CHL meets or exceeds UL 924 standards and is available with a black or white frame.
