Emergency lighting systems provide necessary illumination for facility occupants to access safe passage from a structure when standard lighting fails. Battery-supported emergency lighting illuminates the quickest and safest route to exit a building during a power failure. Building codes require that stairways, corridors, and egress points be lit in the event of a power failure.

The HZN NEMA 4X/IP66 Emergency Light is designed to withstand abuse in schools, institutions, public areas, and apartment complexes where vandalism may occur. The HZN is constructed of a fully-gasketed, die-cast aluminum housing and features an impact-resistant polycarbonate lens and stainless steel mounting feet and hardware. This emergency light includes fully adjustable MR16 lamps with LED options. Emergency illumination of up to 70.0” on center allows for quick and safe exiting during an emergency. Self-test/self-diagnostic monitoring is available, and a low voltage cut-off prevents battery damage and ensures positive charge acceptance following an extended discharge. The maintenance-free Ni-Cad battery is protected by brownout detection to ensure emergency operation during periods of low line voltage. This model is suitable for back or ceiling mounting.
