Product Details
Emergency lighting systems provide necessary illumination for facility occupants to access safe passage from a structure when standard lighting fails. Battery-supported emergency lighting illuminates the quickest and safest route to exit a building during a power failure. Building codes require that stairways, corridors, and egress points be lit in the event of a power failure.
The HZL Class 1 Div 2 Emergency Light is designed to withstand abuse in hazardous and demanding environments such as schools, institutions, and public areas. The fully gasketed, die-cast aluminum housing features impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses with stainless steel mounting feet and hardware. A low voltage cut-off prevents battery damage and ensures a positive charge acceptance following an extended discharge. This emergency light features a maintenance-free, sealed, lead-calcium or nickel cadmium battery and is UL listed for 90 minutes of run-time. Two fully adjustable, top-mounted PAR 36 style lighting heads in high-impact thermoplastic are supplied as standard. The lighting heads are available with a variety of lamp types and wattages. The HZL emergency light is approved for Class I Div 2 Groups A-D: T2B area classification and Class I Zone 2, IIA, IIB & IIC: T1 &T2 area classification.
