Emergency lighting systems provide necessary illumination for facility occupants to access safe passage from a structure when standard lighting fails. Battery-supported emergency lighting illuminates the quickest and safest route to exit a building during a power failure. Building codes require that stairways, corridors, and egress points be lit in the event of a power failure.
The EL16 and MR16 Emergency Lights feature 5VA flame resistant, high-impact resistant, thermoplastic lamp housing. The EL16 includes two fully adjustable 3W lamp heads, and the MR16 offers two fully adjustable ultra-bright, 7W MR-16 halogen lamp heads. Maintenance-free sealed lead acid batteries provide a minimum of 90-minute emergency run time, and brownout sensing assures emergency operation during periods of low line voltage. The cold weather option (HX) makes the EL16 ideal for outdoor applications from -9 to -40 degrees Celsius, and both the EL16 and MR16 have options suitable for damp and wet locations.
