Product Details
Emergency lighting systems provide necessary illumination for facility occupants to access safe passage from a structure when standard lighting fails. Battery-supported emergency lighting illuminates the quickest and safest route to exit a building during a power failure. Building codes require that stairways, corridors, and egress points be lit in the event of a power failure.
The CHL Chicago Approved Steel 12-60 Watt Emergency Light features a 20 gauge steel cabinet with two fully adjustable, top-mounted metal heads. A unique locking twist collar securely holds the lens for quick and easy re-lamping. The maintenance-free, sealed lead calcium or Ni-Cad battery provides 90 minutes of emergency lighting and can power multiple remote heads. A low voltage cut-off prevents battery damage and ensures a positive charge acceptance following an extended discharge, and brownout detection ensures emergency operation during periods of low line voltage. The CHL meets or exceeds UL924 standards and is available with a black or white frame.
