An impact-resistant polycarbonate shield protects the stencil, and the lamp housing features the same vandal-resistant polycarbonate. The MAX-C is designed to withstand abuse in public areas where vandalism may occur. Maintenance-free, sealed Ni-Cad batteries provide a minimum of 90-minute emergency run-time to ensure performance and reliability.
