Product Details

Above doors and in hallways around the globe, exit signs typically blend into the scenery in offices, stores, and nearly all public facilities. But in an emergency, clearly illuminated handicap exit signs are imperative for the safety and well-being of those in need of an escape route that is mobility accessible. These lighted signs also guide first responders as they navigate through unfamiliar structures. Building safety codes require installing reliable illuminated exit signs that are visible at all times. The safety of patrons and employees should be the top priority of every business, company, and landlord. Properly illuminated emergency exit signs are a vital component of any emergency preparedness plan.

The ECTMA Recessed Edge-Lit LED Exit Sign with Mobility Symbol is a sleek, durable 20 gauge steel unit with high-clarity acrylic, NFPA-Type, universal field-selectable chevrons, and a white-baked powder coat finish. The sign features a 6” International Symbol of Accessibility or Dynamic Symbol of Accessibility. A long-life nickel cadmium maintenance-free battery provides the required 90 minutes of emergency operation, and brownout detection ensures emergency operation during periods of low line voltage. The ECT includes high-output, energy-efficient LED technology and an external LED monitor light and test switch, standard on self-powered versions. The electronic control circuit and isolation transformer provide current control and circuit protection, ensuring optimum LED efficiency and life. This exit sign is available as a single face or double face unit. The ECTMA has multiple mounting options, is compliant with the State of Connecticut Building Code Paragraph 1011.1.2., and meets or exceeds UL 924 standards.
