Emergency Lighting For All Applications
Emergency lighting provides illumination during a power outage. These lights are typically battery-powered and designed to stay lit for a designated amount of time, such as 90 minutes, to allow people to exit the building safely. Emergency lights must meet specific safety standards, including the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 101 Standard for Fire Prevention. These standards ensure that industrial emergency lights are reliable and provide adequate illumination during a power outage.
Emergency lighting fixtures may be mounted indoors or outdoors and come in surface mount, recessed, t-bar, and flush-mounted styles.
There are different types of industrial emergency lights, including:
Emergency Area Lights
Emergency area lights provide general illumination in large industrial spaces.
Industrial Emergency Lights
Industrial emergency lights are often lawfully required in industrial settings, such as factories, mills, and warehouses.
Architectural Emergency Lights
Architectural emergency lights are a type of emergency lighting that is designed to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing. These lights are typically used in commercial and public settings where appearance is important. Architectural emergency lights are available in various styles and finishes to match the décor of any space.
Wet Location Emergency Lights
Wet location emergency lights are installed in areas with a risk of water exposure. Wet location lights are typically made of weatherproof materials, such as stainless steel or plastic. These fixtures are also sealed to prevent water from entering the fixture.
Hazardous Area Emergency Lights
Hazardous area emergency lights, or Class 1 Div 2 emergency lights, are designed to be installed in hazardous locations. These locations are areas where flammable or combustible liquids, gases, or vapors are present. Class 1 Div 2 emergency lights are explosion-proof and will not ignite these flammable materials.
