This unit includes a 4.8V long-life, maintenance-free, rechargeable Ni-Cad battery and a fully automatic solid-state, two-rate charger that initiates battery charging to recharge a discharged battery in 24 hours. The EDC is UL listed for damp locations and is OSHA approved.
