Product Details

Drivers and Ballasts perform an essential role in electrical lamps' proper starting and operating functions. Drivers are found in LED lights, while ballasts are used in fluorescent lighting systems. Both items limit the amount of current in an electrical circuit and provide sufficient voltage to start the lamp. Without the regulation provided by drivers and ballasts, the electrical current would quickly rise to dangerous levels, causing the power supply to fail. LED emergency drivers regulate the power supply to LED fixtures in the event of a power failure and allow the LED fixture to switch from line voltage to battery when in emergency mode.

The Isolite BAL-650C-4ACTD Fluorescent Emergency Ballasts work with or without an AC ballast to convert new or existing fluorescent fixtures into unobtrusive emergency lighting. It operates one lamp in the emergency mode for a minimum of 90-minutes with a maximum initial lumen output of 750 lumens. This ballast features dual 120/277 voltage, a charge rate/power "on" LED indicator light and a push-to-test switch for mandated code compliance testing, and has a long life, maintenance-free, rechargeable, sealed Ni-Cad battery. The ballast features a time delay enhancement to overcome end-of-life circuit protection. The fully automatic solid-state, two rate charger initiates battery charging to recharge a discharged battery in 24 hours. It operates one 13W-26W 2-pin compact florescent lamp with GX23 and G24D bases and is compatible with most one-lamp electronic standards and dimming AC ballasts. The ballast is suitable for installation inside, on top, or in the remote of the fixture. It can be sued in both switched and unswitched fixtures and is UL listed for factory and field installation.
